I chose this sculpture because I took an art history course in high school which made a huge impact on my interest in art. The classical sculptures fascinated me the most. It blew my mind that people were able to create such beautiful statues so long ago without the resources that we have today. Also I chose this piece because it was the inspiration for a statue I made in a ceramics course.
